Reversed ompelata? Yes I have used that during rolling. I don't believe that it is a very practical technique but every once in a while you get the opening and it is very satisfying because it is a very clever move. |

Never even heard of a Kimura done against the legs. Is it even possible???? may have to try it out at training later. Could someone go into more detail or post a vid perhaps? |

Yes Kimura lock isn't used against the legs. The Ompelata is similar to the Kimura and uses YOUR legs to lock your partners ARM. |

Why would you say it's not practical?
Both the omoplata and reverse omoplata are some of the most high percentage techniques in high level BJJ. |

Andre Galvao is pretty good at these. |

But does this Galvao character know the deadly "ompelata" or the even deadlier "reverse ompelata"? No? I didn't think so. |

17 years of bjj and a black belt, and you only pull platas once in a while? Because it's not practical?
Have you ever heard of Marcelo Garcia?
I have a picture with him. Yeah, I'm a black belt. |

When you say Kimura vs. the legs, do you mean the Americana Toehold? |

This is an example of an Americana toe hold/figure four toe hold/ plain old toe hold, being demonstrated by Chris Leben. Is this the move?

Leg locks, kimuras, omoplatas, and anything else. I thought this was a grappling forum, not a post pictures from perverted Japanese comics forum. |

That's what you get when you invade Russia without knowing any submission defenses I guess. |

No, I'm pretty sure it was a leg lock. You are thinking of a previous match, between Hitler and Winston Churchill. (Churchill's cardio was not much to speak off, but he was merely laying on his back while Hitler tried to spastically power his way out of the guard) |
